ALDI has just given us another excuse to stock up on gin in time for Christmas.
The budget retailer has launched an in-store gin festival with popular tipples including Pickerings on sale for just £24.99.

With a normal retail price of around £30 a bottle, the saving is pretty good.
Thousands of bottles of Scottish gin will be pouring into 75 stores across the country for the festival – launching TODAY.
Joining Pickering’s, 50cl bottles of Makar Gin and Boë Violet Gin are also on sale for £19.99.
Gin lovers can also add to their collection with Orkney’s very own Kirkjuvagr Gin or Strathleven Stillhouse Gin.

Aldi says that gin is the most popular spirit with shoppers so it’s no surprise that they’ve added a whole load more to their shelves.
But shoppers will have to be quick – the bargain festival gins are only available while stocks last.
Graham Nicolson, Group Buying Director for Aldi in Scotland, said: “This in-store festival further establishes Aldi as a committed supporter of Scotland’s thriving gin industry, and a must-visit for gin lovers across the country.”
Eden Mill Distillery in St Andrews has offered up an exclusive gin to the bargain retailer, the Botanical Project Winter Warmer Gin.

Graham added: “The Scottish Gin Festival adds a fantastic mix of both established and up-and-coming distilleries to our existing award-winning gin selection, allowing us to provide even more choice and brilliant value to our customers – who we know are massive fans of Scottish gin.
“We’re incredibly proud to work with some of Scotland’s most respected distilleries for our first ever Gin Festival, and we’re looking forward to continuing our support for this flourishing industry.”

She added: “We are delighted to see so many of our finalists selected to take part as it furthers our work promoting the hard work of distilleries across Scotland.”
Fancy a garnish?
The budget supermarket is also serving up premium Fentimans mixers and garnishes from Ginology featuring juniper berries, cinnamon and orange zest.
