WELCOME to Sun Savers. We’re halfway through the week and you’re half a week closer to collecting this month’s free fiver with the Sun Savers club.
If you haven’t joined yet – what are you waiting for?
Take two minutes to download the free Sun Savers app and scan on the Sun Savers page.
Then, keep scanning the codes that appear on the Sun Savers page each time you read the paper.
Once you’ve banked 28, we’ll credit your account with £5. You’ll find the full details on how to start on the Sun Savers page.
Now, this week it was revealed that former footie ace Danny Mills is still using coupons and voucher codes to save cash – despite being worth a staggering £9m.
The ex-Man City, Leeds and England defender said: “Use coupons, vouchers — why not? You don’t have to be frivolous and throw it around. For me, there’s a certain pride in getting something that little bit cheaper.”
So if you want to net some extra cash like Danny and score big on your savings, we’ve teamed up with couponing expert Holly Smith from extremecouponing.co.uk to reveal how.
Holly explains: “Using coupons is a brilliant way to save and it pays to be savvy no matter how much you are worth. I save hundreds of pounds each year myself so I know it works, and well done to Danny for teaching his kids to count the pennies too.”
LATEST IN SUN SAVERS
1) See if you can use multiple vouchercodes on the same offer known as code stacking.
2) Always try expired codes – you never know they often work as firms forget to cancel them.
3) When you cut out coupons in newspapers and magazines, keep a wallet with your coupons in alphabetical order so they are easy to find.
4) Approach companies via Twitter and Facebook and mention you are about to buy something from them, and do they have any current codes available? They will usually tell you the best deals.
5) When ordering online, always do a final check on Google to see if a new code has come up in the last few minutes. You’ll be surprised how often it has.
6) Use codesharing and deal hunter sites. Be nice and share what you’ve found and see what others have located too.
7) Remember to use cashback on top of codes. You can usually cut the price by a further five to ten per cent and your codes will still work.
