THANK goodness it’s Friday – as it means there’s another Sun Savers code to scan.
If you haven’t joined our free cash-saving club yet, today’s the day to start.
Simply download the super Sun Savers app to your phone and every time you read the Scottish Sun, scan your unique code printed on the Sun Savers page.
Or log on to our special website at sunsavers.co.uk to get started and enter your codes online.
Once you’ve collected 28 codes, we’ll credit your account with a free fiver.
That’s £65 a year simply for reading your favourite paper.
One year on from the EU referendum vote, much has been made of “Brexit prices hikes”, with some firms already putting up prices to protect their profits.
But deal-hunting site Hotukdeals.com reckon it’s possible to get almost anything that has increased in price at either the same or a lower cost, with some savvy shopping techniques.
Recent finds by site members include 32GB, 9.7″ iPads at Argos for £469, cheaper than Apple’s original costs of £499 and well beneath it’s post-Brexit bump up to £549.
It can even help on your weekly shops, with six individual bananas costing the same as five packed ones at Aldi – meaning one banana for free.

Here’s some top tips.
1) Check the price before you buy
Use products like Price Runner and CamelCamelCamel to see how a price has changed over time.
It gives you room to negotiate and shows you which store has the best deal.
2) Get social and sign up
Follow retailers and deal forums on their social media pages.
You’ll be notified about sales and discount codes first and even early access to sales events.
3) Let the deals come to you
Being deal-savvy doesn’t have to take hours.
Use HotUkDeals to set alerts on products you want to buy and the app will tell you when it goes on offer.
4) Research alternatives and check reviews
Check reviews on Which? and other trusted sites as you may find a different product that is better for less.
5) Check for discount
You may be able to use multiple codes called stacking, to cut costs even further.
6) Consider refurbished items
If you’re making a big buy such as a new smartphone or games console, consider a refurbished item.
You can buy direct from retailers or from their eBay outlet pages.
Often they are unwanted gifts or ex-display models and are much cheaper than new.
They may have minor marks and the packing may be damaged but it will be a fully functioning product and if you’re purchasing from an official retail outlet it should come with a warranty as well.
7) Wait for a price that’s right for you
Do you really need the very latest tech?
If not, buy an older model and you’ll get a far lower price.
