FIRST we had the designer tote that looked identical to IKEA’s big blue shopping bag, next there was the Instagram-worthy millennial furniture collection and now we have a perfume.
IKEA are becoming trendier and trendier by the day, we bet Billy never realised when he designed his first bookcase.
The homewear giants have collaborated with perfume company Byredo to “explore new ways to add scents to your home”.
The collection is said to feature a range of candles and perfumes that “influence on memory, mood and emotion” as well as creating an intimate smelling home – whatever that is.

Marcus Engman, design manager at IKEA range and supply said:
“At IKEA we are curious about the senses and the importance they play for people to feel at home. We know that scents can help us create a feeling of safety and intimacy, but what does home smell like? And how can smell be communicated beyond scented candles?”

As of yet there is no definitive mention as to what scents the company will release or at what price.
Byredo candles and perfumes run at the upper end of the market – perfumes range anywhere from £42-£340 and candles start at £24.
Known for it’s budget prices, we would hope IKEA’s collab presents a more affordable option.
The limited edition collection is due to hit IKEA stores in 2019.
